Gradam Gnó le Gaeilge - Business with Irish Award announced
Gnó Mhaigh Eo in association with our partners are launching a competition for businesses all over Mayo.

Gradam Gnó le Gaeilge is open to businesses who use Irish in their business. Do you know of any business where you can receive a service through the medium of Irish? Any business where the staff speak Irish to you? Do you know of any business that uses Irish in their signage? Any business that has Irish in their business cards? Do you know of any business that uses Irish in their branding, or on their website?

Or do you have your own business? Do you use Irish at all in your business? In the signage that you use for example? Is any part of your website in Irish? Is there any member of your staff who can speak Irish? Do you sell any Irish language products - books, games, etc? You can nominate your own business or another business for this award. Christmas Window Competition Winners Announced
Gnó Mhaigh Eo wish to congratulate all the businesses who took part in this year’s Fuinneog na Nollag bilingual window competition held in seven towns across Mayo as part of the Christmas festivities. To enter this competition, businesses were invited to decorate their shop windows using Irish with a Christmas theme. We were very satisfied with the overall effort and the quantity of entries. Gnó Mhaigh Eo is seeking an Office Administrator on the CE Scheme with FÁS. The successful applicant will be fluent in Irish and based in Westport, Co. Mayo. Gnó Mhaigh Eo’s mission is to support and encourage the business sector in Mayo to use Irish in their business. Best bilingual float competition
Gnó Mhaigh Eo and Mid West Radio are proud to announce this year’s St. Patrick's Day Gnó On Show [Gnó means business] bilingual float competition as part of its An Flóta is Fearr initiative. This competition is an additional chance for groups who are already entering in the local St. Patrick's Day parade to win a prize to the value of €250 for the creative use of Irish in their float while showing off their local business.
